Since the inception of the NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups in 2011, he has held several key positions, including Interim Accountable Officer and Chief Clinical Officer. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director of the Essex Medical Society (EMS) and is a former council member of the British Medical Association (BMA). Additionally, he has been the Provost and Professor at New Vision University in Tbilisi, Georgia, since 2017.

Professor Raj is also a Senior Partner at Sai Medical Practice in the South East of England, where he focuses on enhancing the delivery of local primary care services to the Essex population. He is recognized as a charismatic leader in medical academics, clinical, and corporate medicine. Furthermore, he holds global positions in corporate ventures and is actively involved in private medical hospitals.
